Fractional Resurfacing

Fractional Laser Resurfacing uses Lynton technology to deliver a laser beam divided into thousands of microscopic treatment zones, targeting a tiny fraction of the skin at a time.

It’s a non-invasive treatment that works by creating micro-injuries in the skin, which triggers the body’s natural healing process. This results in new, healthy skin cells that can help improve the overall appearance of your skin. After Fractional Laser Resurfacing treatment has been carried out, the treated areas of the skin blend in seamlessly with the untreated areas, improving the overall appearance of the skin without creating any visible wounds or irritation.

Fractional Laser Resurfacing works to reduce discoloration and improve skin texture. Specifically, it can be used to treat a number of concerns and smooth the texture of your skin in the process. It can diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, treat sun damage, and lessen the colour and size of age spots. This treatment can even reduce the appearance of acne scarring, post-surgical scarring, or scars that have formed as a result of injury.
As there’s no surgery involved, there’s no downtime needed for you to recover. It’s usual for your skin to appear slightly red and warm to the touch immediately after treatment, although this should subside within an hour or so. Your skin will continue to have a slight amount of red colouring for around a week after the treatment, after which you should be fully recovered, certainly at two weeks post-treatment.

To carry out Fractional Laser Resurfacing, we use Lynton’s LUMINA®. Thanks to 25 years of manufacturing experience, LUMINA® has secured its position as the most effective professional laser and IPL device amongst aesthetic practitioners. Not only does LUMINA® deliver fast and impressive clinical results, it also gives us the opportunity to tailor treatment options to suit your individual skin type and tone thanks to the selection of advanced handpieces.
Fractional Laser Resurfacing is suitable for most skin types and tones, though it may not be suitable if you have an ongoing skin condition. Please contact us using the form below to arrange an initial consultation so that we can discuss your requirements and assess you for suitability.
