Is IPL hair removal permanent?
IPL gives permanent hair reduction. After a full course, most clients see most of the hair gone for good, and the occasional top-up may be needed.
How many sessions of IPL hair removal will I need?
Usually 6 to 12 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart, because hair grows in cycles and IPL only treats hair in the active growth stage.
Does IPL hair removal hurt?
Most clients describe it as a quick snap, like an elastic band flicked on the skin. It's very tolerable and each pulse only lasts a split second.
Does IPL work on fair, red or grey hair?
IPL works best on dark hair, but lighter brown hair can also be treated. White, red and grey hair can't be treated with IPL, so electrolysis is the best option for these.
Should I shave before IPL hair removal?
Yes, please shave the area 24 hours before your appointment. Don't wax, pluck or use hair removal cream during your course because the root needs to be there for the treatment to work.
