What is HIFU?
HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-surgical lift. It heats the deep layers of the skin, including the SMAS layer that facelift surgery targets, to lift and tighten the face and neck.
How long do HIFU results last?
We recommend a HIFU treatment every 2 years to maintain results.
When will I see HIFU results?
Some clients notice an instant lift, but not always. The main results develop over 8 to 12 weeks as the energy triggers new collagen and elastin production. Results vary depending on age and how much skin laxity there is, and we'll talk through what to expect at your consultation.
Does HIFU hurt?
Clients report a mild tingling sensation, and most find the session relaxing.
What's the difference between HIFU and RF microneedling?
HIFU works on the deep structural layer to lift and tighten. RF microneedling works closer to the surface to improve texture, scarring, pores and fine lines. They can be combined for results at every layer.
What is the downtime after microneedling?
Expect redness for 24 to 48 hours, like mild sunburn. Avoid makeup for 24 hours.
Is HIFU better than Botox?
They do different jobs. HIFU lifts and tightens sagging skin, while Botox relaxes the muscles that cause expression lines. Many people use both.
